Twisted tale of exes leaves investigators thinking, 'Huh?'

CAPSHAW — This story is as confusing for investigators to figure out as it will be for you to read.

Limestone County Sheriff's Department Chief Investigator Stanley McNatt said a man living in the 27000 block of Keeton Road in Capshaw was with his ex-wife when his ex-girlfriend climbed through his window Tuesday morning.

"She was mad when she saw the ex-wife's car there, so she beat on the door and then got in the window," McNatt said.

A scuffle ensued where the ex-girlfriend scratched the man.

The ex-girlfriend first said the ex-wife gave her a black eye, but then said the man did it.

The ex-girlfriend left her vehicle at the man's house and took the man's truck.

But is it really stealing when she took the truck to the Sheriff's Department?

"Then she somehow got to the ER, where she reported being beat up," McNatt said. "She never came inside the department to tell us that."

Investigators had not charged anyone as of Tuesday evening because none of the parties involved had pressed charges.
