Tractor spills diesel during wreck; EMA representative sent

HILLSBORO — The Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency sent a representative to a wreck on Alabama 20 on Friday morning when a tractor-trailer’s fuel tank ruptured.

An EMA spokesman said the truck spilled diesel, but the Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Department helped contain the spill at the 7:30 a.m. wreck.

State troopers said driver Frank Bane, 46, of Huntsville suffered injuries. Bane’s condition was not available.

No other vehicles were involved.
