BIRMINGHAM (AP) — Birmingham officials are looking for a new police chief after Annetta Nunn announced her retirement from the post.

At a Friday night news conference, the city’s first female police chief said Mayor-elect Larry Langford had a different vision for the job she has held since 2003.

She confirmed her retirement after a morning meeting with Langford.
