8 injured in shooting at Tuscaloosa party
TUSCALOOSA (AP) — Police have arrested and charged an 18-year-old man with attempted murder in a shooting that wounded eight people — two seriously — at a house party Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.
Tuscaloosa Police Lt. Loyd Baker said the shooting happened outside a home on Short 17th Street around midnight.
An altercation occurred during the party and some guests were asked to leave, witnesses told police. A male began shooting at another male outside. Seven people were struck by gunfire. The 18-year-old suspect was also shot in the arm.
Baker said police have arrested and charged Brandon Wallace with seven counts of attempted murder.
He’s being held in the Tusca-loosa County Jail on a $700,000 bond.
Additional arrests are expected.
