Hartselle High band going to New York

HARTSELLE — The Hartselle High Band is preparing to write another chapter in the program's storied history.

Following the Tigers' No. 9 football play-off game, the band is heading to New York to participate in its Veteran's Day parade.

"This is the first time we've been in this parade," Director Randall Key said. "This is a good event and I'm excited for the kids."

Bowl Games of America, a company that books entertainment for parade and bowl games, invited Hartselle to the parade.

Key took Cullman to the parade when he was director at that school.

"This is going to be a good experience for our kids and I'm looking forward to it," he said.
