Man indicted in shooting of wife

A Morgan County grand jury has indicted a man on attempted murder and first-degree domestic violence charges in connection with the shooting of his wife.

Antwane Marquett Williams, 29, has remained in jail since turning himself in to Decatur police July 27 after three weeks on the run.

Investigators said Williams apparently fled to Texas after emergency personnel found 30-year-old Belinda Moore shot in the face at the couple's home July 2.

Initially hospitalized in critical condition, Moore survived the gunshot wound below her right eye.

Williams' bond is set at $150,000.
