Carolyn Wallace elected president of school board

The Morgan County Board of Education elected Carolyn Wallace on Tuesday as board president.

Wallace replaces Jimmy Dobbs.

The board named Dora Woodard vice president. It changes officers every year.

Wallace is in her 17th year of representing District 2, which includes the Danville and Neel areas.

Appointed in 1991 to finish the unexpired term of John Ellenburgh, she was then elected for two more terms.

Woodard is in her second term of representing District 3, which includes the Eva and Ryan areas.
