Crop insurance deadline Nov. 20

HARTSELLE — Nov. 20 is the deadline for producers of apples, blackberries, blueberries, grapes, figs, kiwifruit, nectarines, oranges, peaches, pears and plums to request noninsured crop disaster assistance coverage.

If you grow potatoes, Dec. 31 in the final date.

Eligible producers must pay a $100 service fee per crop in each county not to exceed $300 per county or $900 per producer.

FSA elections run through Dec. 3

HARTSELLE — The Morgan County Farm Service Agency county committee elections will run through Dec. 3.

The communities electing representatives this year are Trinity, Decatur, Flint, Neel, Danville, Andrews Chapel and Evergreen.

Eligible voters are farmers and ranchers who participate or cooperate in FSA programs.

St. Paul’s bazaar, supper Friday

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1700 Carridale St. S.W., will have a spaghetti supper and Christmas Bazaar on Friday.

The bake sale and bazaar will be 2 to 8 p.m. The supper starts at 4:30 p.m. Plates are $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 4 through 12.

Profits will go to mission work, seminary students and church projects, said Bobbie Seibert, chairperson.
