Youth Soccer tournament continues this weekend

Elite soccer teams will compete in Decatur this weekend as the battle for the title of State Cup champion of the Alabama Youth Soccer Association continues.

Decatur resumes its hosting duties as the Division I State Cup Tournament, which began last weekend, returns for semi-final and final competition.

Decatur’s Raptors 90, Somer-ville’s Revolution 90, and Hartselle’s HSC Samba 91 Yellow will vie for the State Cup title.

Along with the State Cup tournament, the Governor’s Cup, which attracts teams from Mobile to Huntsville, is this weekend.

Area teams competing in the Governor’s Cup include Revolution 92, Revolution 96, Revolution 97, Revolution 98, Revolution 99 and Deportivo Bar-celona.

Local teams battling in the girls’ bracket are Raptors 96 Orange, Raptors 97 Orange, Raptors 97 White, Raptors 98 and Raptors 99.
