Relay for Life meeting Thursday

Relay for Life for Decatur will meet Thursday to start organizing teams for the 2008 event and recognize the achievements of last yearís goal-surpassing campaign for the American Cancer Society.

The meeting is open to anyone seeking more information about how to build a fundraising team or improve his teamís fundraising skills. It also will tell how people can volunteer without being on a team.

Last yearís campaign surpassed its $203,500 goal, and Nucor became the first team in Alabama to raise more than $50,000.

The meeting will occur in the Camp Bluebird Room at Decatur General Hospital at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call Beth Tutwiler at 318-0590.
