Man on riding mower drowns in pool

CITRONELLE (AP) — A 46-year-old man died after a riding lawn mower he was operating fell into a swimming pool at a north Mobile County home, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

Michael Howard of Prichard, a yard worker, apparently drowned Saturday, said Kate Johnson, a spokeswoman for the Mobile County sheriff. She said the death appeared to be accidental. An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death.
