Driver, student hurt in bus accident

HARTSELLE — A bus driver and a Hartselle student received minor injuries in a Friday accident as the football team returned from its game with Cullman.

Transportation Director Wil-liam Booth said bus driver Larry Bates and freshman student Dequin Bibb were treated for minor injuries and released from Cullman Regional Medical Center. According to trooper reports, Cullman Deputy Shane Drake pulled out in front of the bus carrying the Hartselle football team. The accident happened on U.S. 31.
