Man allegedly hit, robbed at Hardee's

Decatur police are investigating a robbery in which four men allegedly accosted a man outside a restaurant and hit him in the head with a baseball bat.

According to Lt. Dennis Hughes, the group allegedly involved in the robbery outside the Hardee's on Seventh Street Southeast on Monday at 7:30 p.m. included three black males and a white male, who wore a ski mask and wielded the bat.

The victim, Stanley Coleon, 27, was taken to Decatur General Hospital for treatment of a minor injury to his left temple, where the white male had allegedly struck him with the bat's handle after taking his wallet, Hughes said.
