2 report armed robbery at back door

Two roommates reportedbeing robbed at knifepoint by a mysterious man who showed up outside their back door Monday, according to Decatur police.

Lt. Dennis Hughes, a police spokesman, said the robber took both men's wallets before fleeing the residence in the 200 block of Fifth Avenue Southwest.

Jesus Guzman, 25, told police he and his roommate heard a noise at the door at about 9 p.m. and opened it to find a black male armed with a big knife standing outside who began demanding money, Hughes said.

No one was injured.

The robber was described as in his early 20s, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 150 pounds and wearing dark clothing.
