Serving in Baghdad, Iraq, with the 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division.

Capt. Sparks is a U.S. Army chaplain.

Parents: Gordon and Dale Sparks of East Lawrence.
