Mom is special person in all of our daily lives

If you are a mom, the overwhelming odds are that your family is making you feel special today.

Perhaps you had breakfast in bed, and you may have gotten flowers, a box of candy, which you'll share, or the family took you to lunch. You may have received a silly card, too.

The guy the kids call dad might even have bought you a gift certificate for a much-wanted massage.

You will get extra hugs and kisses because you are someone awfully special in the lives of people of all ages.

We spend more money for Mother's Day gifts and celebrations than at any holiday except Christmas. Mother's Day is a showering of the love that moms know is always there even when life is so speeded up that we don't think to say, "Thanks, Mom."

Today is important because it expresses the appreciation that too often is lost in our getting through the week.

Enjoy the day, you moms everywhere!
