Trinity church: Break a leg Sunday in NYC

Wouldn’t you love to have a seat in Carnegie Hall on Sunday afternoon when the Trinity United Methodist Church choir blends its collective voice with others from across the nation to perform Handel’s “Messiah?”

And to hear them perform with the New England Symphonic Ensemble in New York City’s historic center would be an extra treat.

What an honor it is for the choir from a relatively small church to perform where the giants of the arts and entertainment worlds perform regularly.

The choir has been at work for almost a year, collecting the $32,500 needed for the trip and making their voices perfect for their performance.

Not many of us here in the Tennessee Valley will see the performance, but we will be rooting for them, knowing that they will represent Trinity and Morgan County well.

As they say in show business instead of saying good luck, “Break a leg.”
