Late September means horses back

The 36th annual World Racking Horse Celebration this week at Celebration Arena at Priceville is an opportunity for people who love horses to see special ones.

Attendance and participation in the world event are down a bit but there will be plenty of action daily through Saturday night to keep spectators returning.

The show is the Racking Horse Breeders Association’s showcase event of the year. After weathering lawsuits and controversy, former Morgan County Commissioner Don Stisher, who is now grounds manager, said, “We are alive and well.”

It is good to have the Celebration returning to sound status.

As always, it is also good to have racking horse breeders, their trainers and riders back.
