Kluxers in search of respectability

Despite the stated differences between Ku Klux Klan organizations, it is difficult to see one group holding the moral high ground. Kluxers are Kluxers.

Cullman is the lucky city that will host opposing rallies of the Ku Klux Klan LLC and the National Knights of the Ku Klux Klan on Nov. 10.

The National Knights embarrassed the other group last month when they rallied in Athens to protest illegal immigration. Klan LLC plans an anti National Knights rally in protest.

“We are opposed to the ignorance and stupidity as displayed by the individuals that thumbed their noses at the area churches by continuing to use racial slurs, threats and avoided Christian deportment,” explained Ken Mier, spokesman for Alabama Klan and Klan LLC.

Mr. Mier’s expert articulation of the differences between groups allays fears that all of the old boys had taken their sheets and gone slumming.
