LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Politicians should be advocates for consumers
THE DECATUR DAILY:

I am worried about those running for political office who claim to be "business-friendly" in their campaign ads. I'm sure that most businesses are honest and deal fairly with the consumer. Maybe I've just been unlucky, or I'm one of those chaps that is born every minute. During my life I have been overcharged and short-changed; cheated, scammed and lied to. I've been hoodwinked and hornswaggled; flimflammed, fast-talked and bamboozled, conned, swindled and sold a bill of goods. I think that business has enough friends. I want someone in office who is "consumer-friendly."
