Letter To The Editor

To The Daily: Your recent articles on Hispanics have once again proven that The Daily is a liberal rag.

You have an interview with Allen R. Stoner where he insists that the correct term for an illegal is “undocumented,” and I quote: “Undocumented is the correct term for someone who crosses a border without going through a checkpoint.”

No, the correct term is illegal alien, that is, anyone who crosses a border without going through the official channels.

And why isn’t our government — city, state and federal — doing anything about this illegal alien invasion? Are we so politically correct these days we can’t see the forest for the trees?

And all the rhetoric we keep hearing that they only do jobs Americans won’t do: The construction jobs are (were) traditionally done by Americans. We never had to call in outside labor to finish a job. Those are just words made up by liberals to justify the influx of illegals.

Let an American-born person do something illegal and we call for their heads on a platter. Let an “undocumented” person of American birth try to move to Mexico and they would automatically be given two years in prison. Yet we as American citizens are supposed to help perpetrate this myth you have tried to influence everyone with.
