LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Seniors don’t deserve reputation as bad drivers

To The Daily: It makes me sick every time some big mouth starts complaining every time a senior citizen has an automobile accident. I think they should check to see who has the most accidents, both fatal and non-fatal. I believe if they would take the time, they would find teens and persons under the influence cause more of these types of accidents and get more speeding tickets.

If age groups that had the most accidents had their driver licenses revoked, the senior citizens would be the only ones on the road.

I also wonder just how most seniors would be able to go to the doctor, the hospital, the grocery store or to visit friends. Maybe they could just stay home and starve to death or die from lack of medication.

One other thing: Do these people realize that, someday, they too will become seniors? Or, do they think they will be exempt from the rules they are trying to impose on seniors just because they made them?
