Real leaders find ways to get things done

To The Daily: Your April 12 editorial regarding Albert Brewer’s speech to the Chamber of Commerce was very timely and a challenge not only to our civic leaders, but to Decatur as a whole. We need to make Decatur proud and we can.

In my personal contact with several of the Depression-era leaders, I note one major attribute. When they listened to the people, when they were presented with, or perceived a need, they attempted to find a way to make it work, not find a reason it could not be accomplished.
