LETTERS TO THE EDITOR|
Another opinion about President Bush’s nature
To The Daily: This concerns the letter about President Bush. He is not the “good” man the writer seems to think he is. He lied to us about the war, ignored the Katrina victims and stole not one, but two elections. He did not win in Florida. Florida was stolen by him and his unscrupulous allies. His buddies on the Supreme Court handed him the presidency that Al Gore should have had.
Mr. Bush has single-handedly destroyed the once-sovereign country of Iraq. Thousands of innocent Iraqis have been summarily murdered as “collateral damage.” But they are not important in his scheme of things.
This was about two things: revenge and oil. Can everyone not wake up from their Bush-induced stupor and see things as they really are? The truth is that we had no business in Iraq. They had done nothing to us. They were not involved in Sept. 11. Al-Qaida was not in Iraq until President Bush destroyed the country. The infrastructure of that country is gone. They have no electricity, sewage system, water system, nothing — except in the Green Zone, which is, of course, the safest place to be. Those in the Green Zone are completely oblivious to what is happening in the rest of the country because they are shielded from it and dare not take a step outside.
Mr. Bush, Karl Rove and Dick Cheney have done monumental damaged to this country, also. Immigration is a disaster, the borders are completely open and there are no plans to close them, the city of New Orleans is still in ruins, thousands of our soldiers have been killed in a futile war in a place where we have no business. He has ruined the reputation of a once-great nation.
