LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Tired of stories about George, messy yards

To The Daily: Once again, I found myself in my Sunday morning routine: a quiet moment with the Sunday morning newspaper. As of late, my routine includes hurriedly turning past the front page of the newspaper, to avoid yet another story about some guy and his messy yard. I consoled myself with the thought that, at least on that morning, I did not have to read another article detailing the latest effort by Curious George to get his name in the paper. But, no, I’m wrong. Next up, the editorials, which detail the latest Things Wrong With this World, According To George (and his newspaper).

I’ll give you credit for articles concerning the money left over from payments by the federal government for prisoner meals. Money from one government program to another government program should not end up in anyone’s pocket. But, can we at least take a breather from Bubba’s yard and Curious George?
