LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

God made America prosper; we have turned against him

To The Daily: I agree with you on few things because you seem to be so narrow-minded. However, I totally agree we all need to know and understand our Constitution. People would be surprised to see how much our forefathers relied on Scripture and the faith of God.

Look closely at it. We aren’t even supposed to elect a president who isn’t of the Christian faith, thus the big deal with President Kennedy.

What would our forefathers think of a Muslim being in our Senate and opening a session with a prayer to a heathen god? More importantly, what does God think?

Why has America prospered so? God was with us. Why are we spinning out of control now? The nation has turned its back on God and allowed heathen gods into our once Christian land.

Military no place for immorality of homosexuals

To The Daily: I want to thank you for publishing the remarks of Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, when he made reference to homosexuals in the military. I say, praise God for a man in his position to be willing to take a stand for what is right.

I pray there are others who will follow him and identify themselves as being against this immoral act.
