Unity breakfast to mark Day of Prayer

Orr Ministries and Oakville Christian Faith Center are joining to sponsor a celebration of the National Day of Prayer. A unity prayer breakfast will be May 3, 8 a.m., at the Danville church, 55 Lawrence County 205.

A volunteer county coordinator for the event, Carolyn Brackin Orr said the theme is “America, United in Prayer” and representatives from several churches will participate. A $5 donation will be collected at the door. Participants should register by April 16. Call 565-7337.

Moms in Touch to gather April 30

Moms In Touch will hold a regional spring celebration in Decatur at First Baptist Church on April 30, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event in the fellowship hall will include lunch, praise, prayer and a craft activity. Call Ann Allen at 353-1708 for reservations, child-care details or other information.
