West Indies native to speak at church

The Rev. Enoch John Baptiste, a native of Dominica, West Indies, will speak for a revival at Redeeming Love Outreach Ministries, 1528 Sherman St. S.E. Baptiste is now pastor of New Creation Miracle Church in Germantown, Md. Services will be May 4-5, 7:30 p.m., and May 6, 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Baptiste, who has a doctor of theology degree from Caribbean Mission Bible School in Trinidad, has also served as pastor of churches in Dominica and Trinidad. He immigrated to the United States in 1993.

'Soles for Souls' fundraiser May 5

A "Soles Walking for Souls" fundraiser for Happy Feet International will be at Westmeade Baptist Church, May 5 at 11 a.m.

The church is sending a team to Ecuador in partnership with Happy Feet to fit 1,400 needy children with shoes.

The church is seeking sponsors for the walk. The church's trip is July 14-21. Call 353-8239.
