NEW ON STAFF: Westmeade Baptist Church has recently added two staff members. Larry Bottom is the new minister of education. He most recently served Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hazel Green.

Bottom earned a masterís degree in religious education from Covington Theological Seminary in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. He and his wife, Shelia, have two daughters — Brandi, a student at Motlow State University in Tennessee, and Brittany, who is married and living in Tokyo.

Brandon Starnes is the new student minister at Westmeade. He is a native of Wesson, Miss., and graduated in 2005 from William Carey College in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Starnes previously served at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, Collins First Baptist Church and New Hebron Baptist Church, all in Mississippi. He is currently a student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He married Decatur native Dana Chaney at Westmeade in 2006.
