‘Dunking’ Sunday at Epic Church

Epic Church is having its first “Dunking Party” — otherwise known as a baptism.

The non-traditional church, 801 Fretwell Ave. S.W., is having the ceremony Sunday at 10:30 a.m., followed by a tailgating party. The events start a “Gametime” sermon series by Kevin Lloyd, lead pastor. Topics will include “Getting in the Game with God” and “Getting in the Game with Church.” Call 584-7080.

Diabetic Walk at Hartselle church

A Morgan County Diabetic Walk will be at First United Methodist Church, Hartselle, Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The group Free Indeed will sing. The event also will include a silent auction, line dancing, bake sale, pony and donkey rides, inflatable games, door prizes and more. Call 751-3000.
