Lady Tigers beat Brewer;
Danville remains hot

Hartselle High's girls basketball team served up aces at the free throw line in a 51-45 home win over Brewer on Friday night.
After bolting to a 25-17 halftime lead, the Lady Tigers scored two points in the third quarter — both on free throws. Then they sank 16 of 21 foul shots on their way to a 24-point fourth period.
Lauren Drake paced Hartselle (8-2, 2-0 in Class 5A, Area 13) with 16 points, 11 rebounds and six steals. Mary Virginia Reeves added 13 points and nine rebounds, while Jessi Smith had 10 points.
For Brewer, Courtney Scott had 11 points, and Andrea Crawford pitched in 10.
Danville 40, Addison 35: The Lady Hawks won their third straight. Alaina Fitzgerald led Danville (6-3) with 11 points and eight rebounds, while Kristen Sparkman added 10 points.

For Addison (2-3), Jessy Willingham had 13 points and six rebounds, while Kayla Carden added 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Tanner 58, Hatton 52, OT: Hollye Keenum poured in 29 points to pace the Lady Rattlers to an overtime win.
Kaitlyn Fleming had 13 points and five assists for Hatton (2-4). Paige Rutherford, a freshman, added 11 points and 12 rebounds. Emily Shelton had 10 points and five assists.
Lawrence County 58, Priceville 55: Jasma McDonald had 14 points and Shea Mason added 13 for the Red Devils. Nakia McDaniel contributed 11.
For Priceville, Callie Cox had 12 points and nine rebounds. Melissa Johnson had 12 points, and Keila Hamlin pitched in 11.
St. Bernard 50, Mount Hope 44: Tamara Robinson had 20 points for Mount Hope, which held a 23-18 halftime edge but was outscored 18-7 in the third quarter.
For St. Bernard, Brittney Schaffer had 15 points.
R.A. Hubbard 55, Athens Bible 42: Berneshia Harris had 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Lady Chiefs, while Dezsarae Ricks had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Monique Hampton had 13 points.
For Athens Bible, Kirsten McClure had 15 points.
Hazlewood 81, Decatur Heritage 46: Amber Jones had 16 points and four steals to pace the Lady Golden Bears, who made the last three 1A Final Fours and improved to 5-3, including 2-0 in the area.
Jasmine Patton had 13 points and nine rebounds, while LaChare Reedus added 11 points and Josalin Johnson contributed 10 points.
For Decatur Heritage, Candace Lee had 17 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out.
East Lawrence 62, Brooks 61: The Lady Eagles' Tiffany Terry made a steal and passed to Paige Hood, who nailed a shot with two seconds left to win it.
Hood finished with 41 points, 11 rebounds and five steals. LaKendra Wright added seven points, seven assists and four rebounds.
Hartselle 46, Brewer 45: The Tigers (6-5, 1-1 in 5A, Area 13) got 16 points from Jackson Holmes, while Luke Bole added 15.
For Brewer (4-5, 1-1), Rusty Boyd scored 19 points, and Chris Humphries pitched in 13.
Lawrence County 58, Priceville 48: Myles King had 16 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Red Devils (8-1), while Will Inman added 16 points.
Andrew Echols pulled down a team-high nine rebounds to go along with seven points.
Josh Bedwell paced Priceville (7-3) with 31 points and eight rebounds.
Danville 53, Addison 40: Zach Orr had 18 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Hawks. David Long added 13 points and six rebounds. Roger Smith contributed eight rebounds.
For Addison, Dennis Stewart had 10 points.
Hazlewood 53, Decatur Heritage 50: In a rematch of last season's area tournament final won by Hazlewood, the Golden Bears took the victory again.
Kerry Jones had 18 points for the Hazlewood (5-1). Keginald Harris pitched in nine points and seven rebounds.
For Decatur Heritage (6-5), Nik Butz had 13 points, and Bo Godwin added 10. Luke Adams pulled down seven rebounds to go with his eight points.
West Limestone 53, Elkmont 46: Zane Campbell had 26 points, 14 rebounds and 11 blocked shots to pace the Wildcats (4-4) to a road win. Jordan Oles added 14 points.
For Elkmont, Jonathan Carter had 13 points and Brandon Solomon 10.
Tanner 98, Hatton 54: The Rattlers outrebounded Hatton 45-23 and cruised to the victory.
Demarcus King and Rod Byrd each scored 14 points. Latraius Moseley and Delano Yarbrough each scored 13 points, and Yarbrough pulled down 10 rebounds. Josh Smith scored 11, and Richard Nasseri added 10.
For Hatton, Nathan Berryman scored 12 points.
Ardmore 65, Columbia 52: Matthew Clem had 18 points for the winning Tigers, and Landon Curtis kicked in 13. Duron Robinson scored 11.
For Columbia, Jarrod Johnson had 15 points.
R.A. Hubbard 59, Athens Bible 48: Quinn McGhee had 14 points and four rebounds to lead R.A. Hubbard (2-1), and Xavier Hampton added 13. LaBrandon Key passed out seven assists.
For Athens Bible, Jeremy Covey scored 15 points. Ryan Morning added 13.
Cornerstone Christian 67, Brooklane 59: Jason Clark had 30 points for the winners, while Matt Pettit added 15 and Brett Stowe 14.
