Brewer rips Cullman for third straight win

Emily Dabbs scored 19 points to pace Brewer High's girls basketball team to a 79-34 home win over Cullman on Monday night.

The victory marked the third straight win for the Lady Patriots (7-4), who last lost Dec. 8 to area power Hartselle. Brewer also improved to 2-1 in Class 5A, Area 13.

Courtney Scott added 16 points, while Andrea Crawford had 13 points, five assists and six steals. Meagan Hormel added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Michelle Tillman pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.

Brewer will play again Wednesday at 6 p.m. against Jess Lanier in Hoover's Big Orange Classic.

Priceville 61, Ardmore 52: Adrianna Delatorre scored 14 points for Priceville (8-5), which got at least three points from eight different players.

Keila Hamlin added 13 points and five assists, while Abbie Harris had 11 points and four assists. Allison White pulled down six rebounds to go with nine points, and Marissa Chambers had five rebounds.

For Ardmore, Haley Drake had 10 points.

Hatton 61, R.A. Hubbard 48: Paige Rutherford scored 14 points and made six steals to lead Hatton (6-5).

Grace Harrison added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Sacashla Hampton had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead R.A. Hubbard (3-4).

Deszarae Ricks pitched in 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Lady Chiefs, and Chasity Puryear had five assists and three steals.

Addison 48, Oakman 28: Jessy Willingham had 31 points and five rebounds to pace Addison (5-3).

Britney Taylor passed out four assists and made five steals.

For Oakman, Mary Sartain scored 12 points.


R.A. Hubbard 70, Hatton 63: Devons Orr had 15 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots to pace R.A. Hubbard (5-2) over county rival Hatton (2-9).

LeBrandon Key added 14 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals, while Darius Grant had 13 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Quinn McGehee contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Hatton's Darren Hand turned in 23 points and nine rebounds. Landon Campbell had 15 points, and Chase Martin added 11. Tevin Terrell had seven assists and three steals.

Ardmore 71, Priceville 51: Leading only 28-25 at halftime, Ardmore took off after intermission.

Matthew Clem led the way for the Tigers (8-4) with 25 points, while Will Lewis added 16 points.

Duron Robinson contributed nine points, four assists and 10 rebounds.

Priceville (8-5) got 20 points from Josh Bedwell, 12 from JaColby Reid and 11 from K.C. Green.
