DAILY CLASS 1A-3A ALL-AREA DEFENSE

DL: Brent Henslee, Sr.,
W. Morgan

The Rebels’ anchor in the trenches as a two-year starter on both the offensive and defensive lines.

DL: Jonathan Lindsey, Sr.,
Falkville

Was a dominant force on the defensive line. Often drawing double-team coverage, he still recorded 48 tackles, five stops for lost yardage, three fumbles caused and two blocked extra points.

DL: Devans Orr, Sr.,
R.A. Hubbard

Recorded 96 tackles and five sacks for the Chiefs from his defensive tackle position. He also recovered four fumbles.

DL: Javaris Stover, Sr.,
Speake

Playing defensive end, he had 113 stops this season, including 9.5 sacks and 25 tackles for lost yardage. Also graded out at 91 percent as an offensive lineman.

DL: Amos Draper, So.,
Tanner

Totaled 62 tackles, including 10 for lost yardage. Had four sacks for this season. Also recovered four fumbles and returned two for touchdowns.

LB: Brad. Smith, Jr.,
Clements

Played inside linebacker and led the Clements Colts in tackles this season with 142 stops. Also had two sacks and two interceptions.

LB: John Dalton, Sr.,
Danville

Totaled 93 tackles, including three sacks this season. He also played quarterback, passing for five touchdowns and rushing for nine.

LB: Jake Gilliland, Sr.,
Addison

Totaled 89 tackles with five sacks this season. He also played quarterback, passing passed for 969 yards and seven touchdowns and rushing for 302 and four scores.

LB: George Adams, Sr.,
Tanner

As an outside linebacker for the Rattlers, he had 81 tackles, including six for lost yardage. He also recovered two fumbles.

LB: Xavier Hampton, Sr.,
R.A. Hubbard

Served as a senior leader for the Chiefs’ defense. Also played offense where he rushed for 883 yards and 13 touchdowns.He also scored twice on kickoff returns.

DB: Mark Campbell, Sr.,
Hazlewood

Had five interceptions as one of the leaders on a Golden Bears defense that posted four shutouts this season.

DB: Anthony Atemon, Sr.,
W. Morgan

Had 34 tackles and five interceptions this season, returning two for touchdowns. Also played receiver, finishing with 519 yards and nine touchdowns.

DB: Micah Randolph, Sr.,
W. Morgan

Had 47 tackles and four interceptions for the Rebels. Also caught 30 passes for 385 yards and two scores and also was successful while stepping in at quarterback for four games.

DB: Zach Vick, Jr.,
Speake

Intercepted six passes and made 54 tackles. As a receiver for the region champion Bobcats, he caught 28 passes for 649 yards and four touchdowns.

P: Brandon Clark, Jr.,
Falkville

Provided an edge on special teams for the Blue Devils. He punted 38 times for 1,406 yards, which calculates out to an average of 37 yards a kick.
