Kinnardís 25 points pace UAB

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Lawrence Kinnard had 25 points, including four of eight 3-point shots and five of seven free throws, and Paul Delaney 21 as UAB beat Tulane 67-60 on Saturday.

Tulane (7-7, 0-2 Conference USA) was led by 11 points from Kevin Sims. Nobody else on either team had more than 9 points.

The Green Wave led by as many as 6 points late in the first half, but Frank Holmes, who finished with 4 points for UAB (10-7, 2-1), hit a free throw with 12 seconds remaining to tie the halftime score at 28-28.

UAB led for the final 17 minutes.
