Hood, Wright pace E. Lawrence girls

Both of the third-seeded teams won Monday night at the Lawrence County Tournament in Moulton.
In the girls bracket, East Lawrence beat sixth-seeded Speake 65-58 to advance to the semifinals. In the boys division, No. 3-seeded R.A. Hubbard beat sixth-seeded Hatton 61-48.
Tuesday, the second-seeded Hazlewood girls will play seventh-seeded Mount Hope at 6 p.m., while in the boys draw, No. 2-seeded Lawrence County will face Mount Hope at 7:30 p.m.
East Lawrence girls 65, Speake 58: LaKendra Wright poured in 25 points to pace the Lady Eagles, while Paige Hood added 24.
For Speake, Kylie Black managed 26 points and 15 rebounds. Malea Hensley added 11 points and nine rebounds.
Revia Brown passed out seven assists.
R.A. Hubbard boys 61, Hatton 48: Xavier Hampton scored 27 points and passed out three assists to lead the Chiefs.
LaBrandon Key blocked five shots.
For Hatton, Darren Hand scored 20 points, and Landon Campbell pitched in 12.
Tanner girls 73, Athens Bible 36: Hollye Keenum had 29 points, four rebounds and five assists to lead the way for the host Lady Rattlers at the Limestone County Tournament, and Cecily Woods added 12 points and seven rebounds.
Mikala Malone pulled down eight rebounds, and Jessica Urias had three steals.
For Athens Bible, Kirsten McClure had 17 points and six assists.
Tanner advanced to the semifinals and will play either Elkmont or Ardmore on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
The Lady Rattlers (16-8) have won nine of their last 10 games. The only loss since December was at Elkmont.
Clements girls 47, West Limestone 46: LaCresha Petty scored 17 points to pace Clements, which will play East Limestone in Thursday's semifinals at 6:30 p.m.
Jordan Beggs added 14 points for the Lady Colts.
For West Limestone, which led 26-19 at halftime, Natalie Harrison had 17 points, seven rebounds and eight steals.
