The Lawrence County Lady Red Devils steamed into the finals of the Lawrence County Tournament with a 63-51 win
over R.A. Hubbard in Moulton on Thursday night.

Nakia McDaniel scored 23 points and Jasma McDonald added 14 for Lawrence County in the semifinal contest.

Monique Hampton led the way for R.A. Hubbard with 18 points and 21 rebounds.

Chasity Puryear and Dasarai Ricks each had 11 points.

The Lady Red Devils will face the winner of East Lawrence and Hazlewood in the final on Saturday. East Lawrence and Hazlewood play Friday at 6 p.m.

Hazlewood boys 88, Speake 61: Hazlewood used 17 points from D.J. Jones while Kerry Jones chipped in 16 to power the Golden Bears to the finals of the Lawrence County Tournament.

Juarez Fitzgerald had 13 points and K.C. Orr added 11 for the Bobcats on Thursday night.

Hazlewood will face the winner of Lawrence County and R.A. Hubbard, which will tip off at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The county finals will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Moulton.

Limestone County Tournament

Tanner boys 88, East Limestone 64: Tanner moved to the finals of the East Limestone County Tournament on Thursday behind 23 points from Richard Nasseri and 20 from Latraius Mosley.

Demarcus King contributed 11 points. Matt Smith racked up nine points and 12 rebounds.

London Brandon led the way for East Limestone with 21 points and Mario Matthews had 10 points.

The county tournament continues Friday with Elkmont playing West Limestone in boys action at 8 p.m.

Elkmont's girls will play host Tanner at 6:30 p.m.

Regular season game

Athens girls 60, Muscle Shoals 42: Athens moved to 20-3 on the season behind 18 points and 10 rebounds from Keona Shoulders and an 11-point, 11-rebound game from Courtney Medlen on Thursday.

Jasmine Hammon had 18 points for Muscle Shoals.

Kathryn Thompson scored 14 for the home team.
