The Lawrence County Tournament boys finals will match the top two seeds Saturday night.
Lawrence County High's boys, the No. 2-seeded team, made sure of that with a 62-51 win Friday over third-seeded R.A. Hubbard.
The Red Devils (18-7) will face top-seeded Hazlewood for the title Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Myles King paced Lawrence County with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Matthew Pugh added 18 points.
For R.A. Hubbard, Quinn McGhee had 13 points, while Labrandon Key scored 11. Darius Grant added 10. Devans Orr pulled down 12 rebounds, and McGhee had eight.
The tournament's girls will not match the top two seeds.
Saturday at 6 p.m., top-seeded Lawrence County will meet third-seeded East Lawrence, which knocked off second-seeded Hazlewood on Friday 74-59.
West Limestone boys 50, Elkmont 46: Zane Campbell turned in 13 points, 10 rebounds and 11 blocked shots to pace the Wildcats into the Limestone County Tournament finals.
West Limestone will face host Tanner on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
Against Elkmont, Cody Herring had 11 points and 13 rebounds. Joshua McWilliams' 13 points paced the Red Devils, while Tom Logan added 11 points.
Addison girls 45, Lynn 20: Jessy Willingham had 25 points and 10 rebounds for Addison (16-5), which will face Meek in the Winston County Tournament finals Saturday night at 6. Lynn is hosting. Haley Wiggins added 11.
Decatur Heritage boys 54, Westminster Christian 39: De'el Watkins scored 12 points and had five rebounds to pace Decatur Heritage (16-10).
Nik Butz added eight points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots. Bo Godwin made five steals.
Athens girls 64, Madison Academy 38: A balanced scoring attack carried the Lady Eagles (21-3).
Athens got at least four points from nine different players. Sierra Caudle led the way with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Jenae Strong added 10 points, and Keona Shoulders had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Brittany Hovell pulled down six rebounds.
Westminster girls 30, Decatur Heritage 25: Candace Lee had 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals to pace the Lady Eagles.
Hartselle in sectionals: Wrestling in the Class 5A, Section 2 meet at Scottsboro, Hartselle wrestlers won seven of 11 opening-round matches Friday.
The winners included sophomore Kyle Davis (125-pound division), senior Caleb Blanton (145), senior Dallas Kalber (160), senior Jake Watkins (171), junior Ethan Hamilton (189) and senior Daniel Filiatrault (215).
The second round is Saturday.
