Black's 41 points make winner out of Bobcats

Speake sophomore Kylie Black scored a career-high 41 points to pace the Lady Bobcats to a 70-51 home win over Athens Bible on Tuesday night.

Black also pulled down 24 rebounds for Speake (8-14).

Malea Hensley added 10 rebounds to go along with eight points. Revia Brown passed out eight assists.

Kirsten McClure and Lindsey McClure paced Athens Bible with 14 points each.

Brewer 68, Grissom 38: The Lady Patriots won their seventh straight to improve to 17-7 as Courtney Scott had 16 points and seven rebounds.

Andrea Crawford added 12 points, and Morgan Crawley pitched in 10.

Heather Steelman and Meagan Hormel each scored nine points, and Emily Dabbs passed out seven assists.

Michelle Tillman hauled down seven rebounds.

For Grissom (16-8), Allison Cousins and Anna Lane each scored nine points.

East Limestone 63, West Limestone 53: Brittany Moore scored 18 points for East Limestone, which was coming off its Limestone County Tournament championship.

Danielle Jefferson added 13 points, and Kenisha Pride had 10 points.

For West Limestone, Natalie Harrison had 27 points, and Elizabeth Dison added 10.

Athens 66, Columbia 24: Athens shot out to a 38-5 lead in the opening half and cruised from there.

The Lady Golden Eagles (23-3) got at least two points from 10 different players. Keona Shoulders led with 16 points, and Jenae Strong added 13.

Kiara Langford's 11 points led Columbia.

Lawrence County 56, Cullman 29: Shea Mason had 13 points and five rebounds to lead the Lady Red Devils. Sallie Burch added 11 points and seven assists, and Nakia McDaniel had 10 points.

Jasma McDonald made seven steals, and Joanna Cain scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds.

Allison Meriweather was Cullman's leading scorer with eight points.

Ardmore 69, Priceville 55: Jennifer Mills paced Ardmore's win with 19 points and eight rebounds.

Courtney Pettus and Jennifer Ratley each added 11 points for the Lady Tigers (12-10).

Brittany Miles pulled down seven rebounds, and Shannon Fogg passed out 13 assists.

For Priceville, Keila Hamlin scored 13 points, and Melissa Johnson added 12.

Hazlewood 90, East Lawrence 49: Amber Jones scored 19 points to lead Hazlewood, which got at least three points from nine different players.

Jasmine Patton added 17 points, and Naughtia Langham had 15. Antoinetta Howlett scored 13.

Paige Hood's 19 points led East Lawrence, and LaKendra Wright contributed 10.

Addison 38, West Point 36: Jessy Willingham led Addison's win with 12 points.

Kayla Carden and Haley Wiggins each added 11 points for the Lady Bulldogs (18-5), and Wiggins pulled down eight rebounds.

Mount Hope 54, Tharptown 38: Tamara Robinson had 24 points for the Lady Yellow Jackets (9-10).

Laura Rutherford pulled down 14 rebounds, and Haley Flannagan added 10.

Tharptown's Hollie Hines scored 14 points.

Deshler 93, R.A. Hubbard 48: Chasity Puryear had 20 points and three assists for R.A. Hubbard, and Sacashla Hampton pitched in 14 points and nine rebounds.

Courtney Bowens had 22 points to lead Deshler.
