Powell pops Ardmore for 18

West Morgan High's boys basketball team avenged an earlier loss to Ardmore by defeating the Tigers at home Friday 60-49.
When the two teams met Dec. 19 at Ardmore, the Tigers won 63-62 in triple overtime.
On Friday, the Rebels (17-8) got 18 points and 14 rebounds from Phillip Powell. Micah Randolph added 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Jake Sparkman scored 12 points. David Pritchard pulled down seven rebounds, and Grant Harbin passed out four assists.
For Ardmore (16-9), Matthew Clem had 20 points, and Duron Robinson scored 10.
Priceville 77, Danville 52: Josh Bedwell had 34 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and five steals to lift the Bulldogs (14-15).
Teammate K.C. Green added 11 points and six rebounds, and Korey Christy had eight points and 10 rebounds.
For Danville, Zack Orr had 17 points, and Tyler Beck added 11.
Hartselle 61, Arab 38: Ryne Lindsey had 14 points to lead the way for Hartselle (17-12), which got at least two points from 11 different players.
Arab got 11 points from Lloyd Dendy.
Decatur Heritage 61, Westminster Christian 47: Zach Woodruff had 16 points, four rebounds and four steals as the Eagles improved to 18-11.
De'el Watkins and Nik Butz each added 15 points. Watkins added seven rebounds, and Butz had five.
Luke Adams passed out four assists.
Stephen Six scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to pace Westminster.
Speake 52, Red Bay 40: Javaris Stover had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way for Speake (19-6), and Jacob Moody contributed eight points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
K.C. Orr poured in 13 points.
For Red Bay, Grant Funcher had 17 points.
Lexington 59, Hatton 37: Kyle McCain led Lexington with 16 points, while Darren Hand's 18 points led Hatton.
Lexington led 26-14 at halftime.
Muscle Shoals 85, East Lawrence 67: Dakota Matthews and Russ Stephenson each had 15 points for East Lawrence, which trailed 35-32 at halftime to Muscle Shoals (23-5).
