AUBURN — The 2007 football schedule is all but set at Auburn.
Officials expect to release the schedule next week, but barring any sudden changes, they know where and when the Tigers will play each week.
Auburn will open with Kansas State at home Sept. 1 on either ESPN or ESPN2.
Originally, Auburn was scheduled to play Mississippi State at home Sept. 8, but the Bulldogs needed to make a switch with their schedule.
So now, Auburn will host South Florida on that day, and according to the USF Web site, that game will be on either ESPN or ESPN2.
From there, Auburn will close out September at home against Mississippi State (Sept. 15) and New Mexico State (Sept. 22) before traveling to Florida (Sept. 29).
In October, Auburn hosts Vanderbilt (Oct. 6), goes to Arkansas (Oct. 13) and LSU (Oct. 20) and hosts Ole Miss (Oct. 27).
November's schedule includes a home against Tennessee Tech (Nov. 3), a trip to Georgia (Nov. 10), an open date Nov. 17 and the Iron Bowl against Alabama on Nov. 24.
Blackmon not in school: Sophomore Tray Blackmon is not enrolled at Auburn currently, Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville said.
"He's taking care of personal problems," Tuberville said. "Hopefully, he'll rejoin the team the first of June."
Should he take care of all of his classes during the summer session, Tuberville said Blackmon, a linebacker, will be eligible.
"He's just got to make up a lot of ground," Tuberville said. "That's all in their court. We've had a couple do that before.
"They've just got to take care of their business."
