Noteworthy: While Auburn is coming of an emotional 86-77 win over rival Alabama, LSU is coming off a 66-56 win over No. 3 Florida. The Bengal Tigers had lost nine of their previous 11 before the win over the Gators. ... LSU all-American Glen Davis will not play Wednesday because of an injury, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Davis averages a double-double, including 18.1 points per game. ... Either Auburn or LSU has swept this series in six of the past seven years. Only in 2003 was there a split. LSU won the first meeting 65-63 on Jan. 13. ... Auburn has three wins over top 25 teams in one season for the first time since the 1999-2000 season. The Tigers have beaten then-No. 22 Tennessee (83-80, Jan. 17), then-No. 12 Alabama (81-57, Jan. 23), and then-No. 25 Alabama (86-77, Saturday). ... Auburn is one game out of first place in the SEC West, but two games out of last. Ole Miss and Mississippi State are first with 7-7 records, while LSU is last at 4-10. Auburn and Alabama are both 6-8, but the Tigers own the tiebreaker because of the season sweep.
