Holley tosses Lawrence County to win

Wes Holley tossed a complete-game shutout Tuesday, guiding Lawrence County to a 7-0 win over East Lawrence.
Holley struck out 15 batters and allowed two hits.
At the plate Will Inman went a perfect 4-for-4, scoring one run to lead Lawrence County (3-0).
Holley contributed a two-run homer, Josh Gaines went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.
Mathew Pugh went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, Scott Steele was 1-for-3 with an RBI double, and Britt White and Scott White each had singles.
Lawrence County travels to Double Springs on Friday.
Decatur Heritage 8,1; Westminster 6, 10: Decatur Heritage's split with Westminster accomplished at least one thing Tuesday — the Eagles picked up their first win of the year.
Luke Adams pitched Decatur Heritage to the win in the first game, tossing 5 2/3 innings, giving up six runs on nine hits while striking out two. Chase Wright and Zach Woodruff both went 2-for-4, Drew Atchley was 1-for-3, and Bo Godwin and Adams each went 1-for-4.
In the second game, Chris Oliver took the loss, allowing seven runs on seven hits through four innings. Brent Denson led the Eagles, going 2-for-3. Godwin went 1-for-4.
Decatur Heritage hosts Waterloo on Friday.
Decatur 4, Lee 0: The teams went to halftime tied at 0 before Decatur (4-1-3) scored four unanswered goals to pick up its first section win of the year.
Georgia Gamble scored on a penalty kick to get the ball rolling, Ali Dubach netted a goal moments later, and the rout was on. Red Raiders midfielder Judeth McMahan scored the final two goals for Class 5A No. 3 Decatur.
Shannon Laughlin and Rebecca Solley combined for the shutout in goal.
Decatur next plays in the Huntsville Hospital Classic, where it will play against Grissom, Huntsville and Bob Jones.
West Morgan 2, Sheffield 1: West Morgan picked up its first win of the season after holding off Sheffield.
The Rebels jumped ahead 2-0 on goals by Ryan Lyle (13th minute) and Javier Marcial (39th). Jorge Torreblanca and
Ivan Uriostegui picked up assists on the goals.
Sheffield (0-2) cut the lead to 2-1 in the 60th minute, but West Morgan goalkeeper Mike Phillips made the lead stand, picking up five saves on the day.
West Morgan (1-2) hosts Athens Bible on Tuesday.
