Noteworthy: Alabama could be without center Jermareo Davidson. He did not practice Wednesday saying he hurt his back against Mississippi State on Sunday. ... Point guard Ronald Steele wasn't listed as a starter in Alabama's game notes but took part in practice Wednesday and will try to play against Kentucky. ... According to Alabama head coach Mark Gottfried, Steele's femur bone is digging into a bruised area on top of his knee. ... The Southeastern Conference released its coaches All-SEC team Wednesday and included Davidson and Athens High graduate Richard Hendrix listed on the second team. ... Hendrix leads the SEC in field-goal percentage, shooting at a 60.4 percent clip. ... Former Alabama great Mike Nordholz will be honored during Alabama's first-round game as part of the SEC Legends Class of 2007 along with Kenny "Sky" Walker from Kentucky.
