Calhoun slams Bevill-Sumiton for 23rd win

Calhoun ripped Bevill-Sumiton 16-5 in community college baseball action Friday afternoon.

Hartselle High graduate Jay Sivley pitched 6 2/3 innings for the win. He allowed eight hits and struck out seven.

At the plate, Kevin Weidenbacher was 3-for-5 with two RBIs for Calhoun. Bennie Holcey was 4-for-5 with a pair of RBIs.

Zach West was 2-for-4 with four RBIs.

The Warhawks (23-2) will match up with Bevill-Sumiton again Saturday. The two teams will meet in a doubleheader at Calhoun at noon.
