Ole Miss edges Alabama in 11

Cody Overback’s single sent Justin Henry home for the winning run in Mississippi’s 3-2 win over Alabama on Saturday.
Henry singled to lead off the 11th inning, took third on Zach Cozart’s double to left center and then scored on Overbeck’s single through the left side of the infield.
Cody Satterwhite got the victory in relief for the Rebels (17-8, 2-3 Southeastern Conference), pitching two scoreless innings. Ole Miss sophomore Lance Lynn pitched another gem for the Rebels, limiting Alabama to two runs on seven hits over nine innings. Lynn struck out 10 and walked just one, according to www.clarionledger.com.
A week earlier, Lynn allowed only one hit over eight innings in a 6-1 victory over Vanderbilt.
The victory evened the weekend series at one apiece going in to Sunday’s 1:30 p.m. rubber match. Alabama dropped to 17-9 and 3-2 in the SEC.
Florida 12, Auburn 9: At Auburn, Brian Leclerc and Chris Petrie scored two runs each to help lead Florida.
Florida (13-13, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) posted a seven-run seventh inning to surge past the Tigers (18-8, 0-5), who had been ahead 6-5.
It was the fifth straight game where Auburn jumped out to an early lead only to see it be surpassed by the opposition.
Matt den Dekker led the Gators in RBIs with three while Leclerc and Cole Figueroa each had two.
Josh Edmondson (2-1) earned the win for Florida, going 4.2 innings and allowing three runs on five hits.
David Hurst earned his second save of the season.
Justin Bristow (1-2) took the loss for Auburn after allowing five runs on three hits.
