Calhoun softball sweeps Snead State

The Calhoun Lady Warhawks (29-9) hit eight doubles in the doubleheader sweep of Snead State, with the Lady Warhawks winning both games 6-0.

The two wins allowed Calhoun to share the top position with Bevill State in the ACCC Northern Division.

Alicia Hall and Breanna Lee were the winning pitchers.

Stevie Griffin and Lee had a double and single apiece in the first-game win. Courtney Terry and Lacey Keenum each hit a double, and Ashley Blankenship added two singles.

In game two, Brittany Norton, Griffin and Terry each had doubles. Lee and Blankenship each singled.

Calhoun will play Gadsden State at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Morgan Park.
