Alabama claimed an 11-10 comeback win over South Carolina at home Sunday, led by Alex Avila, who hit two home runs and drove in six runs, including a two-out, three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
South Carolina (33-13, 11-10 Southeastern Conference) sent 11 players to the plate and scored seven runs in the first inning to take a 7-0 lead.
Alabama (25-20, 10-11) trailed 10-2 in the third inning before the comeback began.
Avila started the comeback with a solo home run in the third inning. He added and RBI single in the fourth and an RBI ground out in the Tide's three-run seventh inning to close the margin to 10-8.
Arkansas 8, Auburn 1: Jess Todd struck out eight and walked just two to lead Arkansas to a victory over Auburn on Sunday to claim two of the three games in the series.
Todd (6-2) went the distance for Arkansas (35-12, 15-6).
Auburn (28-19, 7-14) could only muster one run on six hits while Arkansas pounded out 17 hits.
