Player of the year

P: Kylie Black, Speake, So.: Dominant on the mound, going 31-11 with 14 shutouts and posting a 0.80 ERA. Also contributed at the plate, batting .358 with, including 14 doubles, 10 triples and three home runs. Also drove in 37 runs and scored 44 as the Lady Bobcats finished fourth in Class 1A at the state tournament.

Rest of the team

P: Lauren Seibert, West Morgan, So.: The Lady Rebels' main arm went 42-14 with 16 shutouts, striking out 423 batters in 363 2/3 innings. Also had 48 hits at the plate, six home runs, seven doubles and 60 runs as West Morgan reached the second round of the Class 2A sub-state.

P: Elizabeth Kimbrough, Mount Hope, Sr.: Took the bulk of the pitching load as the Lady Jackets finished third in Class 1A at the state tournament. Threw 275 innings and struck out 201 with an ERA of 1.85. Also batted .301.

P: Kayla Carden, Addison, Jr.: The Lady Bulldogs' best arm on the mound, she went 33-11 with a 1.97 ERA, hurling Addison to the state tournament in Class 2A. Struck out 214 batters.

C: Mikaila Etheredge, West Morgan, Jr.: Had an on-base percentage of .308 for the Lady Rebels. Had 40 hits and drove in 27 runs.

C: Chelsea Fike, Mount Hope, So.: A solid starter behind the plate. Batted a team-leading .390.

C: Bethany Evans, Danville, Sr.: Hit .323 with an slugging percentage of .673. Had 50 hits, including six doubles and two triples as Danville reached state tournament in Class 3A.

IF: Lauren Kilgo, West Morgan, Sr.: The shortstop's 20 doubles led the Lady Rebels. Posted a .309 batting average with team-highs of 56 hits, four triples and 39 RBIs.

IF: Mallory George, Danville, Jr.: Played first and second base, batting .341 with a slugging percentage of .467. Had a team-leading 17 doubles and drove in 44 runs.

IF: Kristen Thompson, Danville, So.: Batted .406 with a slugging percentage of .653, delivering seven doubles, three triples and four home runs. Also drove in 41 runs.

IF: Bailee Robinson, Elkmont, So.: Played shortstop for the Lady Red Devils, who reached the second round of the sub-state in Class 3A. Hit .378 with eight doubles and three triples.

IF: Britney Taylor, Addison, Jr.: The second baseman had 50 hits, including nine doubles and five triples. Stole 97 bases and scored 103 runs.

IF: Kayla Woodard, Addison, Sr.: Delivered 72 hits with 45 RBIs for the Lady Bulldogs. Batted .383, including eight doubles and seven triples, scored 94 runs and stole 53 bases.

IF: Kirsten McClure, Athens Bible, Sr.: The shortstop knocked eight home runs for the Lady Trojans. Batted .411 with 51 hits as Athens Bible advanced to the state tournament in Class 1A.

IF: Hollye Keenum, Tanner, Sr.: Batted .370 with eight doubles, four triples and was 25-of-25 in stolen bases.

OF: Whitney Sparks, Speake, Sr.: The shortstop drove in 30 runs and scored 32 more. Had six doubles and two triples among 35 hits.

OF: Malea Hensley, Speake, Jr.: Hit .325, driving in 36 runs. Had 49 hits, including 14 doubles, four triples and two home runs.

OF: Morgan Davis, Mount Hope, Fr.: The anchor of the Lady Jackets outfield. A center fielder, she batted .364.

OF: Elizabeth Locke, Elkmont, Sr.: Hit .389. Had 49 hits, including 10 doubles and two home runs, and drove in 28 runs for the Lady Devils.

OF: Haley Keenum, Tanner, Sr.: Batted .419 with six doubles, four triples and was 33-of-33 in stolen bases.

UTL: Abbie Melvin, Athens Bible, Jr.: Went 30-5 as a pitcher with a 1.01 ERA. Also played first base and batted .496 with 66 hits.

DH: Revia Brown, Speake, Sr.: Speake's offensive leader batted .441 and scored 73 runs. The catcher's 82 hits included 16 triples, six doubles and four homers. Also drove in 37 RBIs and stole 46 bases.
