Victor Allen (Hazlewood), Birmingham-Southern, LB: Had a team-high six tackles as the Panthers beat LaGrange College’s junior varsity to improve to 2-1.

Cole Barthel (Decatur), Arkansas Tech, QB: Completed 24 of 41 passes for 235 yards and a touchdown in a 28-27 loss to fourth-ranked Valdosta State. Also rushed for a team-high 40 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns. He ranks third in the Gulf South Conference in passing efficiency and second in touchdown passes. The GSC has named him its offensive player of the week twice this season.

Travis Boyd (Brewer), Troy, TE: Scored his first collegiate touchdown in a 48-31 win over Louisiana-Lafayette. His 4-yard catch for a TD put Troy ahead for good. He has four catches in four games.

Wes Brown (Athens), Tennessee, DE: Made one tackle as the Vols beat Arkansas State 48-27.

Brett Byford (Hartselle), Nebraska, C: Started at center and helped the Cornhuskers roll up 552 yards in a 41-40 win over Ball State.

Luke Chenault (Decatur), North Alabama, OL: Played as a reserve as the Lions beat Southern Arkansas 27-8.

Jeremy Craig (Clements), Birmingham-Southern, LB: Made his first varsity tackle for BSC in the win over LaGrange.

Kendral Ellison (Austin), Rhodes, DE: Made two tackles and combined with a teammate for a sack in a 42-0 loss to Millsaps, which is led by former Alabama head coach Mike DuBose.

Eric Gray (West Morgan), Alabama, DB: Played as a reserve in the Crimson Tide’s 26-23 overtime loss to Georgia but was not credited with any statistics.

Johnny Jones (Hartselle), North Alabama, DL: Played in UNA’s win over Southern Arkansas but was not credited with any statistics.

Reshard Langford (Tanner), Vanderbilt, DB: Made two tackles as the Commodores defeated Ole Miss 31-17.

Stephen Laye (Elkmont), Huntingdon, WR: Caught three passes for 58 yards in a 36-29 loss to Adrian (Mich.) College. His 23-yard reception in the opening quarter went for a touchdown.

Rolando McClain (Decatur), Alabama, LB: Compiled a season-high 11 tackles against Georgia, including six solo stops. Through four games, he has 32 tackles.

Chris McWilliams (Athens), Alabama State, LB: Came off the bench to make four tackles in a 28-25 victory over Alcorn State.

Jerraud Powers (Decatur), Auburn, DB: Made six tackles and forced a fumble in the Tigers’ 55-20 win over New Mexico State. Was one of two to earn Auburn defensive player of the week honors.

Ryan Powers (Tanner), Arkansas, LB: Had four tackles in a 42-29 loss to Kentucky. His total included two solo tackles against the Wildcats.

Duron Robinson (Ardmore), Faulkner, DB: Made three tackles and intercepted a pass in a 20-12 win over Kentucky Christian. Returned the interception for a 65-yard touchdown, but a penalty called back the play, and he was credited with a 34-yard return and no touchdown. Ranks second on the team with three interceptions and is tied for second with 14 tackles.

John Scott (Austin), Jacksonville State, DL: Made five tackles in a 31-20 loss to Eastern Kentucky, including four solo stops.

Pierre Stover (R.A. Hubbard), North Alabama, WR: Caught one pass for 7 yards against Southern Arkansas. He has two catches this season for 16 yards.
