Victor Allen (Hazlewood), Birmingham-Southern, LB: Had three tackles as the Panthers fell 28-24 to DePauw.

Cole Barthel (Decatur), Arkansas Tech, QB: Did not play in Saturday’s 43-14 loss to Delta State after suffering a season-ending knee injury the previous week against North Alabama.

Travis Boyd (Brewer), Troy, TE: Caught one pass for 23 yards in a 34-16 win over Florida International. His catch gave the Trojans their third longest pass completion on the day.

Will Brannon (East Lawrence), Huntingdon, OL: Played as a reserve in a 54-13 win over SUNY-Maritime on Huntingdon’s homecoming.

Wes Brown (Athens), Tennessee, DE: Made a season-high three tackles in a 35-14 win over Georgia. Through five games, he has eight tackles.

Sam Burnthall (Decatur), Alabama, DB: Played in the Tide’s 30-24 win over Houston but was not credited with any tackles.

Brett Byford (Hartselle), Nebraska, C: Started at center in the Huskers’ 41-6 loss to Missouri. It marked his 19th straight starting assignment.

Luke Chenault (Decatur), North Alabama, OL: Started at right guard for the second straight game as the third-ranked Lions pounded Ouachita Baptist 40-7.

Sean Darby (East Limestone), Jacksonville State, DE: Started and made four tackles in a 27-24 come-from-behind win over Tennessee-Martin. On the Skyhawks’ first offensive play, Darby teammed with Austin High grad John Scott to stop running back Don Chapman after a gain of only 3 yards.

Kendral Ellison (Austin), Rhodes, DE: Made one tackle in a 27-13 win over No. 12-ranked Trinity, but it was a big one. Trinity led 10-3 toward the end of the first half and had second-and-10 at the Rhodes 17. Ellison sacked the quarterback for a 6-yard loss, causing a fumble that a teammate recovered to snuff the drive.

Curtis Garth (Tanner), Arkansas-Monticello, LB: Played as a reserve in a 41-7 loss to Henderson State and made one tackle.

Reshard Langford (Tanner), Vanderbilt, DB: Made a team-high six tackles in a 35-7 loss to Auburn. All his stops were unassisted. His tackles also were a season high, bringing his 2007 total to 17 stops.

Steven Laye (Elkmont), Huntingdon, WR: Rushed one time for 6 yards against SUNY-Maritime and returned a punt for 26 yards.

Rolando McClain (Decatur), Alabama, LB: After starting the first five games of the season, he came off the bench for the first time and made one tackle against Houston. He is the team leader with 42 tackles.

Jerraud Powers (Decatur), Auburn, DB: Started at cornerback but was not credited with any tackles. He has 29 stops for the season, which ranks fourth on the team.

Ryan Powers (Tanner), Arkansas, LB: Made two tackles in the Razorbacks’ 34-15 win over Chattanooga.

Duron Robinson (Ardmore), Faulkner, DB: Made two tackles and an interception in a 28-21 loss to Edward Waters.

John Scott (Austin), Jacksonville State, DL: Made three tackles in JSU’s win over Tennessee-Martin.

LaDarrius Stanley (R.A. Hubbard), UAB, DL: Came off the bench and made two tackles in the Blazers’ 30-13 loss to Mississippi State.

Nikita Stover (Hartselle), Alabama, WR: Caught his first touchdown pass of the season when he hauled in a 23-yard catch for a score against Houston. His reception came in the first quarter.

Pierre Stover (R.A. Hubbard), North Alabama, WR: Played in UNA’s win over Ouachita Baptist but did not record any catches.
